I got ALOT of compliments on my outfit today!  

Most of my accessories come from awesome Etsy shops which I have mentioned in various posts, including this one!  I always support handmade by other folks! There are sooooo many talented peeps out there making great things I am willing to fork over hard earned money for! GO HANDMADE!

 At my local hangout with my hubby getting a pick me up on this cloudy rainy day!  Yummy Cold Taro Milk Tea! I like it not only cause of the sweetness, but it's a cool pastel lavender color!  I eat andI drink anything that's a cool color!

I am ordering some paints, canvases, and an easel online today, I used to be an art major in college, and I sure miss painting, so an upcoming post may show the works of some really cute paintings!

Enjoying my favorite soup at one of my fave Chinese restaurants before my hubby and I go to see Star Trek Into Darkness, it was a great movie by the way, I would totally see it all over again!

 My hair looks kinda crappy here, I wasn't feeling good, in fact strep throat was setting in! ick!

 My husband surprised me with this monster high doll, This is torelei, she came in a pack of 3 but i changed her clothes already, something casual! She is one of my faves!

 MMMM...macaroons! This one is a pistachio flavoured one, was in Omaha the other day, having fun with my mister, these are the best macaroons ever!!!

 This is me today on my day off just lounging in casual attire, I still have this crud going around, no voice right now, but I am bound to feel better soon, right?

 Mini kawaii haul from Omaha, I will be going back to that store when i come into serious cash, I love all hello kitty(trade mark and property of Sanrio) stuffs! I will be putting that pin on my backpack!  I just love these magnets! and the candy was really tasty!  I want more!!!

I already ate all of these macaroons, they didn't last 2 days in my home! hey what can I say? I freaking love macaroons!  

Sorry for the lack of posts, this is kinda a 3 in 1 post since I have been sick with strep, now it's just a real bad cold.  

Accessories And Such A Messy Workspace!

Ok, remember on my first post I said that I live in the Midwest  well living here is great and all, but finding kawaii accessories here and especially on the cheap is more difficult than winning a spelling bee!  But when chips are down and I am going through a local accessory hunt dry spell, I always resort to online ordering.  I know it kind of goes against my blog mission statement, but seriously, I can easily go for months on a kawaii haul dry spell, if it weren't for the invention of the world wide web!  It also helps that you have a love for craftiness!  Like for instance, check out my comb buddies!  all you need is to acquire cheap plastic combs, you can find these anywhere for cheap online! and simply glue on googly eyes to give them personality! takes like only 2 minutes for all 3 to be assembled!  Aren't they cheeky little guys?

 These are also assembled by my own 2 hands, I took some unused cabs and glued them onto cheap plastic plates from a plastic tea set, and glued an alligator clip on the back, they can go in your hair and/or your cardigan! these took about 10 minutes, not including the drying time for the glue....

Everyday I spend at least 10 minutes trying to choose which bow to wear that day...i have dozens, most i bought, very few I have made. 

I need another phone case fix! I don't have too many!

And no i will not trade her or sell her, she was hard to find, and I would have to leave this in my will for anyone to get even the slightest chance of getting her, especially in the wonderful condition she is in for being nearly 30 years old!

Today is my day off from work, but last night started getting this wicked sore throat! I even right now it still feels awful!, But i had plans to go see the star trek movie with my hubby, won't let a sore throat get in my way! until next time!

I love my cute teddy cell phone dust plug i assembled myself! i didn't make the teddy though, she came from a mlp playset, tiny little things like this can be transformed into awesome tidbits!  She makes me happy!

My First Post, A Little Bit About Me!

Hi Y'all! Welcome to my blog!

My Mission:

I have a huge interest in the Kawaii/Lolita lifestyle, in addition, I am a geek and living here in the midwest poses more of a challenge to find events/adventures/hauls of the lifestyle I chose for myself.  So this blog is to document my kawaii/geeky adventures, showing those that living in more remote locations , one can still have loads of fun! Hi y'all! I'm Lauren from the midwest, residing in a tiny town in Nebraska! I live between 2 big cities, which give me my only escape from small town life!  I am happily married to my college sweetheart for nearly 5 years, (he is nerdy and geeky too!)  I am a crazy cat lady and own 3 amazing pet kitties, all 3 females!  I also have 3 pet male rats, 2 parakeets, and 1 beta fish!  I have no human babies, we decided to wait a very long time for mini me's to show up!  I live to create, I make jewelry and accessories for myself, I love to shop, go on kawaii/antique hunts, go to fun restaurants, my favorite dessert is the french macaroon!  I work full time outside of my home, so only a couple days out of the week I have to myself to play in my dreamland!  I am an avid collector of Monster High Dolls, Beanie Babies, vintage 80's/90's toys decorate my entire house, and yes I still love stuffed animals!  I hope you all enjoy whats to come on my blog posts!
